The 2022 Charity: reStart
With 40 years of service in the Kansas City area, reStart, Inc. is one of the region’s largest homeless service providers and a community leader advocating for and modeling best practices for permanently ending homelessness. reStart, Inc., provides a full continuum of care from temporary housing to permanent housing for all members of the community so that no person experiencing homelessness is excluded from working toward stability and permanent housing.
Our Housing First and Rapid Re-housing models focus on quickly moving people into safe and appropriate housing, reducing expensive shelter stays while allowing clients to work toward stability, self-sufficiency, and improved overall well-being. This approach quickly and successfully connects individuals and families into permanent housing without preconditions and barriers. Supportive services are offered to maximize housing stability and prevent a return to homelessness. All the programming at reStart, Inc. is designed to achieve our mission to “empower all people facing or experiencing homelessness by providing housing and services that inspire hope”.
